Abstract

This study aims to see the impact of using the Read Aloud method on students' reading interest. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include distributing questionnaires on students' reading interest which shows the impact of using the Read Aloud method on students' reading interest with an average increase of 72%, interviews with class teachers who found that students' learning activities, especially in reading activities, had a very good impact. This can be seen from the increasing enthusiasm of students, as well as the reading participation shown by students, and observation sheets for teacher teaching activities which show that the use of Read Aloud will have a good impact on students' reading interest when carried out according to the stages that should be. With a total of 30 students as participants. The data in this study were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that (1) the Read Aloud method can have an impact on students' reading interest, this can be seen from the percentage of students' reading interest which grew by 72% (2) students like learning using the Read Aloud method.
