Publication Schedule

Philology: Journal Of English Language and Literature is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published twice a year. The publication schedule is structured as follows:

  • Issue 1: February
  • Issue 2: August

These two issues constitute one volume per year. Philology: Journal Of English Language and Literature is highly committed to maintaining consistency, punctuality, and strict adherence to its publication schedule as part of its responsibility to disseminate high-quality research findings in the fields of Literature and English Education.

Manuscript Processing Time

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's OJS platform. The comprehensive evaluation process requires a minimum of 2 (two) months from the initial submission date to final publication. During this period, every manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Screening: Editorial evaluation regarding administrative completeness, template compliance, and plagiarism/similarity checks.
  2. Peer Review: Double-blind review by subject-matter experts followed by mandatory revisions by the authors.
  3. Copyediting: Final editing, formatting check, and proofreading.
  4. Publication: Official production and online indexing.

Please note that the overall processing duration may extend depending on the authors' promptness in executing revisions and the complexity of the reviewers' feedback. Authors are strongly advised to plan their submissions accordingly.

Submission Deadlines for Each Issue

To ensure a minimum processing window of 2 months, manuscripts should be submitted no later than the following recommended deadlines to be considered for the respective issues:

Manuscripts submitted after these deadlines, or those whose revision processes are not fully completed within the cycle, will automatically be deferred to the subsequent issue. Submission prior to the deadline does not guarantee publication in that specific issue.

Should there be any updates or adjustments to the publication schedule, official notifications will be broadcasted transparently via the announcements section on the official website of Philology: Journal Of English Language and Literature.
