Post-Publication Discussion

Philology: Journal Of English Language and Literature recognizes that scholarly communication and evaluation do not end upon an article's publication. Post-publication discussion provides an academic space for readers, authors, researchers, educators, and the broader scientific community to respond to, question, critique, or clarify published articles. The journal welcomes discussions that are relevant, constructive, evidence-based, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of Literature, Linguistics, Translation, and English Education.

  1. Forms of Discussion
  • Letter to the Editor: Academic responses, questions, or critiques regarding a published article.
  • Author Response: Formal replies by the original authors to address substantive comments or critiques concerning their work.
  • Methodological and Scientific Critique: Discussions regarding research design, text analysis frameworks, data interpretation, limitations, and the validity of conclusions. For conceptual or literary studies, this includes the accuracy of primary sources, textual interpretation, and theoretical frameworks.
  • Clarifications or Corrections: Notices regarding minor factual errors, references, citations, data, or misspelled author names.
  • Publication Integrity Concerns: Inquiries or evidence raising questions about data reliability, research ethics, authorship, conflicts of interest, or potential plagiarism.
