Abstract

This research aims to examine the basic concepts and dynamics of student development in the context of 21st-century education. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach based on a literature study of relevant academic sources. The research results show that the development of 21st-century learners not only includes cognitive, socio-emotional, and moral aspects but also critical thinking skills, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy. Classic developmental theories such as Piaget, Vygotsky, and Erikson remain foundational, but they need to be adapted to the dynamics of globalization and technological advancements. The curriculum must be designed based on active, collaborative experiences, and oriented towards character strengthening. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of curriculum renewal, the enhancement of teachers' pedagogical and digital competencies, and the integration of technology in learning to shape adaptive and competent learners in the digital era.
