Abstract
Pasar Kamu stands for Pekan Sarapan Karya Anak Muda which is one of the culinary tourism areas. Pasar Kamu, known as a creative economy platform located in Denai Lama Village, Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang North Sumatra. Market activities are opened every Sunday, 06.00WIB to 11.00WIB. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strategies carried out by managers to attract visitors. The type of research is descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation. Data analysis is done through data processing, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Research informants, Chairman of the Kamu Market Group 3 people, 3 traders and visitors. Research results: The manager of “Pasar Kamu” invites the Deli Serdang Tourism Awareness Community (Masata) to work together, then designs “Pasar Kamu” like a traditional people's market by offering traditional Malay and Javanese food. The concept of creative economy can be seen from the role of local youth in market activities, namely as producers and sellers. However, they lack marketing skills so they have not generated greater income. In conclusion, the services provided by traders have not been maximized and business development is still constrained because it is still managed traditionally. It is suggested that traders in “Pasar Kamu” need to be empowered so that the service system is getting better and the community's income is increasing.
