IDENTIFIKASI MISKONSEPSI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN THREE TIER TEST PADA MATERI TEOREMA PYTHAGORAS

Abstract
Mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa merupakan langkah penting untuk mencegah kesalahan pemahaman konsep yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi Teorema Pythagoras menggunakan instrumen Three Tier Test. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa kelas IX-2 SMP IT Ar-Rasyid Deli Serdang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes diagnostik Three Tier Test yang dilengkapi dengan alasan jawaban dan tingkat keyakinan (Certainty of Response Index), serta wawancara untuk mengonfirmasi hasil tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 3,125%, siswa yang tidak tahu konsep sebesar 51,25%, siswa yang paham konsep tetapi kurang yakin sebesar 1,25%, dan siswa yang paham konsep sebesar 44,37%. Miskonsepsi yang ditemukan tergolong kategori rendah dan terjadi pada indikator menentukan panjang sisi segitiga siku-siku serta menguji tripel Pythagoras. Faktor penyebab miskonsepsi meliputi rendahnya minat belajar siswa, keterbatasan kemampuan siswa, prakonsep yang kurang tepat, penggunaan metode ceramah oleh guru, serta kurangnya kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengungkapkan gagasan.
