PENGARUH MODEL LEARNING CYCLE 7E TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR DAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA PEMBELAJARAN KONSEP DASAR IPA SD

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh dari penerapan Model Learning Cycle 7E terhadap Hasil belajar Konsep Dasar IPA SD 2 dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Model Learning Cycle 7E terhadap keterampilan berpikir Kritis mahasiswa Program studi PGSD STKIP Adzkia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi eksperiment research) dengan rancangan Randomized pretest-postest Control Group Design. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Model Learning Cycle 7E sebagai variabel bebas, sedangkan hasil belajar Konsep Dasar IPA dan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGSD semester 2 STKIP ADZKIA Padang tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 180 orang. Sampel diambil secara acak sehingga terpilih satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model Learning Cycle 7 E sedangkan kelas control menggunakan model konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar (kognitif) dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis menggunakan seri tes dari Cornell Critical Thinking Test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji MANOVA pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan analisis dari uji Manova yang dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran dengan model learning Cycle 7E dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Pembelajaran dengan Model Learning Cycle 7E memberikan pengaruh sebesar 72% (sedang) terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada Mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA SD 2. Sedangkan terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, model ini tidak membawa pengaruh yang signifikan.
