UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA MELALUI PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL

Abstract
Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah metode pembelajaran kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Lawe Alas. Dan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melalui pendekatan kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Lawe Alas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan tiga kali pertemuan 6x40 menit. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu, perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning) di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Lawe Alas yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II dan siklus III. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan belajar mencapai 40% dengan rata-rata kelas 56,5, sedangkan siklus II persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 63,33% dengan rata-rata kelas 68,5, dan Pada siklus III persentase ketuntasan belajar mencapai 83,33 % dengan rata-rata kelas 82,5. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Lawe Alas. Selain itu, perlu adanya penelitian dan kajian lebih banyak tentang pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning) sehingga dapat bermamfaat untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
