Hubungan Antara Kebiasaan Membaca dan Minat Membaca Terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat

Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between reading habits and reading interest individually or collectively on the reading comprehension skills of fifth graders at SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students, which were taken from the entire population of 23 students. The data collection method used a questionnaire for the variables of reading habits and reading interest. As for the variable of reading comprehension skills using a test. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the correlational analysis technique. The results of multiple correlation analysis show that together reading habits and reading interest have a significant relationship with reading comprehension skills. This is evidenced by the calculation that tcount X1 against Y is 3.383, tcount X2 is 2.768, and Fcount is 6.393 > Ftable = 3.493 at a significance level of 0.05; and based on the correlation coefficient of product moment X1 to Y of 0.594, the correlation coefficient of product moment X2 to Y of 0.517, and the multiple correlation coefficient obtained by r of 0.624 means that the level of relationship between reading habits and reading interest on reading comprehension skills is included in the strong category with the coefficient of determination obtained of 0.390 or 39% reading comprehension skills are influenced by reading habits and reading interest.
