Jurnal Pendidikan IPS (JP-IPS) is an online, blind-reviewed journal. Its objective is to publish high-quality articles that contribute insights—from both theoretical and empirical perspectives—to the advancement of technology and education. Papers published in JP-IPS make a significant contribution to critical discourse within the broader scientific community, particularly in the field of Social Studies Education.

The scope of fields covered by JP-IPS includes the following areas:
Pancasila and Civic Education, History Education, Economics Education, Geography Education, Sociology and Anthropology Education, Accounting Education, Commerce Education, Office Administration Education, Sociology Education, Cooperative Education, Population and Environmental Education, Cooperative Economics Education, and other Social Science education fields not yet listed.

The journal publishes articles presenting research findings and literature reviews based on accepted methodologies—including qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods studies, as well as statistical analyses, case studies, field research, and historical studies. JPIPS welcomes manuscripts from a wide range of relevant contributors, such as researchers, lecturers, professors, students, teachers, practitioners, scientists, and others.
