Abstract
This research was conducted at SD Negeri 061953 Afd II Pagar Jawa, Jawa Maraja Bahjambi District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research uses a mixed method or often called the Mixed Method. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of spiritual values in PPKn learning to improve the social care character of grade V students of SD Negeri 091563 Afd II Pagar Jawa. The sample in this study was 11 grade V students of SD Negeri 091563 Afd II Pagar Jawa. The data was processed using SPSS version 20.0 for windows. Based on the results of the study, the validity test showed that the statement was declared valid because the calculated r value> r table, the reliability test for improving social care character was 0.908 with a total of 12 statement items, the variable indicator for improving social care character was 61% with the Good category. In this case, it means that improving social care character through the application of spiritual values in PPKn learning as a whole is fairly Good. Which has a very big influence on improving the character of social care through the application of spiritual values in PPKn learning, namely Politeness owned by students with a percentage of 65%. The results of qualitative data obtained from the explanation of the homeroom teacher V or PPKn teacher of SD Negeri 091563 Afd II Pagar Jawa are still quite good and can be overcome because of the facilitator, educator, role model, and evaluator. So that the teacher's task is to be an example to students to become a character who cares about society.
