Abstrak

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), as an indicator of regional development performance, is influenced by various factors, including government expenditure, locally generated revenue, and labour absorption. This study examines the effects of government expenditure, locally generated revenue (PAD), and the number of employed workers on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of regencies and municipalities in West Java Province from 2015 to 2025. The study employed a panel-data regression design using observations from 27 regencies and municipalities over an 11-year period. The findings indicate that government expenditure, locally generated revenue, and labour absorption significantly and positively affect economic growth, both individually and jointly. Therefore, regency and municipal governments in West Java should ensure the effective oversight of development expenditure, strengthen PAD through taxes, levies, asset management, and public services, and increase labour absorption by fostering a favourable business climate through investment facilitation, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, vocational education, job training, and the creation of new employment opportunities.
