Therefore, academic ethics is a moral foundation that guides behavior and practice in the academic world. In this context, idealism is often considered the main principle that encourages integrity, honesty and responsibility in academic activities. However, amidst the increasingly strong pressures of pragmatism, such as demands for publications, career competition, and the need to obtain research funding, idealistic values are often marginalized. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. This research introduces an Islamic educational perspective that emphasizes values such as honesty, trust, kindness), justice in the context of academic ethics. These values provide a strong moral framework for facing the challenges of pragmatism in an academic environment. By integrating Islamic educational values, idealism in academic ethics can be strengthened, so as to maintain academic integrity and credibility. This paper explores how idealism and pragmatism interact in the academic environment, as well as how Islamic educational values can strengthen commitment to high ethical standards. By highlighting emerging ethical challenges and efforts to maintain ethical standards, this research shows that a balance between idealism and pragmatism, enriched by Islamic educational values, is key to maintaining credibility and public trust in academic institutions.
Yeny Nasril Copyright (c) 2025 ADABBA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3391 Tue, 04 Feb 2025 02:41:45 +0000 KONSEP PENDIDIKAN SEUMUR HIDUP MENURUT PERSPEKTIF HADIS https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3390
Lifelong education is a concept that underlines the importance of continuous learning throughout one's life. From an Islamic perspective, this concept has a strong foundation which is reflected in various hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. These hadiths emphasize the importance of seeking knowledge from the cradle to the grave, showing that education is not limited to a certain age or stage of life. This research explores the concept of lifelong education based on a hadith perspective, by highlighting teachings that encourage Muslims to continue seeking knowledge and improving themselves. In the hadith, knowledge is considered as a light that guides humans towards truth and wisdom, as well as a means to achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter. This abstract explains how relevant hadiths can be interpreted and implemented in the context of modern education. By understanding this concept, individuals can develop a more holistic approach to learning, which includes spiritual, moral, and intellectual aspects. This research also highlights how the principles of lifelong education in the hadith can support personal and professional development, as well as contribute to the development of a more knowledgeable and cultured society.
Muhammad Hizbullah, Haidir Copyright (c) 2025 ADABBA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3390 Tue, 04 Feb 2025 02:54:20 +0000 ULAMA INDONESIA: KEMANDEKAN REGENERASI DAN LAHIRNYA ULAMA SELEBRITI DI ERA MODERN https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3389
In this modern era, the Islamic world in Indonesia faces serious challenges related to the regeneration of scholars. Over time, there has been a noticeable bottleneck in the process of regenerating authentic and qualified ulama. This phenomenon has opened up space for the birth of celebrity ulama, who are often known more for their popularity on social media than for their depth of knowledge and Islamic integrity. Islamic education in Indonesia needs to revisit the approaches and methodologies used in producing future scholars. This research is based on book research so it examines various references to find the results. Based on this research, an education system is needed that not only emphasises academic and intellectual aspects, but also the formation of strong character and morals in accordance with Islamic teachings. True scholars are those who have a high commitment to knowledge, noble character, and social responsibility. The phenomenon of celebrity clerics raises questions about the authenticity and legitimacy of their knowledge. Although they are able to attract public attention, they often lack depth of understanding and sincerity in spreading religious knowledge. This could potentially damage the image of the true ulama and confuse the ummah in understanding the true teachings of Islam.

Syariah Hafizhoh Copyright (c) 2025 ADABBA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3389 Tue, 04 Feb 2025 02:43:40 +0000 TRADISI PEMELIHARAAN KHAZANAH INTELEKTUAL: TINJAUAN HISTORIS BAIT AL-HIKMAH https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3388
Bait Al-Hikmah was founded in the 9th century in Baghdad by Caliph Al-Ma'mun. It was one of the most influential institutions in Islamic intellectual history. It served as a centre for translation, research and education. Bait Al-Hikmah played a crucial role in the maintenance and development of the Islamic intellectual treasury. Through the translation of Greek, Persian and Indian works into Arabic, the institution succeeded in enriching knowledge and creating a dynamic academic environment. Therefore, this study examines historically how the tradition of preserving Islamic intellectual treasures developed in Bait Al-Hikmah. By highlighting the contributions of the scholars and scholars who worked at the institution, this study illustrates how the Temple became a centre of culture and science that not only preserved but also developed new ideas in various disciplines, such as philosophy, mathematics, astronomy and medicine. So this research will be able to analyse the values of Islamic education reflected in the tradition of preserving intellectual treasures, such as love of knowledge (ḥubb al-'ilm), hard work (juhd), and collaboration (ta'āwun). By studying the history of Bait Al-Hikmah, it can be seen how important educational institutions are in maintaining and developing knowledge, and how these principles can be applied in the context of education.
Sopian Lubis Copyright (c) 2025 ADABBA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3388 Tue, 04 Feb 2025 02:45:40 +0000 POTENSI DAMPAK INOVASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA TERHADAP CAPAIAN SKOR PISA INDONESIA https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/add/article/view/3077
The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a global benchmark for measuring students' literacy, science and mathematics abilities.
