Abstract
The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a global benchmark for measuring students' literacy, science and mathematics abilities. Indonesia has consistently shown low performance in PISA, triggering various educational efforts, including the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in 2022. This article aims to analyze the potential impact of the Merdeka Curriculum innovation on Indonesia's PISA score achievement. This research uses qualitative methods with literature studies and education policy analysis. Data was collected from various sources, such as official documents from the Ministry of Education and Culture, research reports and journal articles. The Merdeka Curriculum has several potentials to increase Indonesia's PISA scores, including: Focus on developing the character and profile of Pancasila students, Student-centered learning, Implementation of flexible and differentiated learning, Assessment that focuses on authentic assessment, Strengthening the role of teachers and school principals.
