The aim of the study is to identify the factors causing gender-based wage disparities among agricultural workers and to analyze the economic impacts of wage inequality on agricultural workers in Kenagarian Batu Palano. The theoretical framework used in this research is the gender injustice theory proposed by Mansour Fakih. This study employs a qualitative method using observation, interviews, and documentation, involving female agricultural workers, male agricultural workers, landowners, nagari government officials, and community leaders. The findings show that female workers receive lower wages than male workers despite performing the same tasks, working hours, and responsibilities, with female workers earning Rp 80,000 per day and male workers earning Rp 120,000 per day. The forms of gender injustice experienced by female agricultural workers in Kenagarian Batu Palano include subordination, marginalization, stereotyping, double burden, and non-physical violence. The factors contributing to wage inequality are long-standing traditions, gender stereotypes held by landowners, and the absence of written regulations regarding wage determination. Furthermore, the economic impacts of wage inequality include limited ability to meet daily needs, inability to save and invest, and restricted access to children’s education.
Sari Nurmala, Mutia Kahanna Copyright (c) 2026 Sari Nurmala, Mutia Kahanna https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-06 2026-05-06 11 1 1 9 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.6348 IDENTIFIKASI PERILAKU KONSUMTIF DAN KELEKATAN PENGGEMAR TERHADAP IDOL GROUP JKT48 DI KOMUNITAS TEAM48 KARAWANG https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/5898
The popularity of idol groups often triggers consumptive behaviour among their fans. This can also be influenced by the attachment felt by fans towards their idols. This phenomenon is also found among fans of JKT48 (sister group of AKB48). Fans tend to spend money on purchasing merchandise even though these items are not considered basic necessities (clothing, food, shelter). The subjects of this study are JKT48 fans from the Team48 Karawang community who have a monthly income and exhibited consumptive behaviour towards purchasing merchandise and participating in fandom activities. This research uses a qualitative approach, including literature review and in-depth interviews, to explore consumptive behavior among fans. The results of this study reveal that consumptive behavior is influenced by emotional attachment to their idols. According to Jean Baudrillard’s theory of consumption, merchandise purchases are no longer based on their utility value but on their sign value, representing identity, loyalty, and fan existence. In line with John Bowlby’s attachment theory, the emotional bond between fans and idols creates a sense of closeness and the need to stay connected, triggering consumptive buying as a form of emotional expression and support for their idols.
Muhammad Hafizh Ataurrahman, Arsi Widiandari Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Hafizh Ataurrahman, Arsi Widiandari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-07 2026-05-07 11 1 10 19 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.5898 PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) BERBANTUAN METODE DRILL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA BERBASIS HOTS https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/6451
Student learning activities and learning outcomes are key indicators of the success of the learning process, particularly in Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) based learningwhich requires critical, analytical, and evaluative thinking skills. The tradition, which is routinely held every year in the month of Sapar, is a form of local culture that has been preserved amid the waves of modernization. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth observation and documentation methods. Data analysis uses informal methods with an emphasis on names, meanings, and terms in the tradition. The results show that the Sebaran Apem Keong Mas tradition consists of four main processes: tirakatan, larungan, arak-arakan, and sebaran apem. Each process has a deep cultural meaning related to gratitude, community unity, fertility, and harmony with nature. This study shows that the language structure and naming in the Sebaran Apem Keong Mas tradition reflect how the Pengging community understands and interacts with their world, in accordance with the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. In conclusion, the Sebaran Apem Keong Mas tradition is not only an annual ritual but also a cultural knowledge system that integrates spiritual, social, and environmental values that remain meaningful as local cultural heritage.

Keywords: Ethnolinguistics, Saparan Tradition, Cultural Meaning, Pengging, Local Wisdom
Gitya Ayuningtyas, Auliana Dwi Rahmah, Imam Baihaqie Copyright (c) 2026 Gitya Ayuningtyas, Auliana Dwi Rahmah, Imam Baihaqie https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-11 2026-05-11 11 1 39 48 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.5993 NEGOSIASI ISLAM DAN BUDAYA: RITUAL BA’AYUN SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS DI KALIMANTAN SELATAN https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/6454
This article explores the dynamics of negotiation between Islamic values and local culture through the Ba’ayun ritual as a medium for building religious character within the Banjar community in South Kalimantan. Ba’ayun is not merely a life-transition ceremony for children, but a strategic instrument that harmoniously integrates Islamic teachings into local cultural practices. This research employs an interdisciplinary qualitative approach, combining sociological, educational, and anthropological perspectives to dissect the function of the ritual. The research findings indicate that Ba’ayun facilitates the internalization of character values through the stages of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action, which are supported by formal and informal pedagogical methods, such as the recitation of Quranic verses and exemplary behavior. Furthermore, this ritual serves as an instrument for social cohesion and a cultural buffer that strengthens communal identity amidst the currents of modernization. The legitimacy of the ritual within the framework of Islamic law is made possible through the role of local ulema who mediate religious texts with customs ('urf sahih). This article concludes that the successful negotiation between Islam and culture in the Ba’ayun ritual serves as a crucial foundation for national character building rooted in religious local wisdom.
Muhammad Syaifullah, Normuslim, Muslimah Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Syaifullah, Normuslim, Muslimah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-11 2026-05-11 11 1 49 59 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.6454 ANALISIS GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD) TERHADAP MEKANISME BIAS GENDER DALAM PEMILIHAN JURUSAN DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/6069
This study aims to analyze gender equality dynamics at MAN 1 Magelang, focusing on how cultural norms and social structures influence subject selection and student experiences. Although formally all subjects are open to both males and females, findings show that stereotypes, subordination, marginalization, and symbolic violence are still reproduced through school culture, teacher guidance, and social perceptions attached to certain fields of expertise. Using the Gender and Development (GAD) approach, this study shows that inequality does not stem from biological abilities, but rather from social constructs that place men and women in different roles. Through qualitative descriptive methods involving interviews, observations, and literature studies, the study found that equal access has not resulted in equal participation because the internalization of patriarchal norms remains strong. The GAD approach has proven relevant in uncovering the roots of inequality and emphasizing the need for a transformation of power relations, changes in school culture, and the strengthening of teacher capacity. This study recommends the integration of gender awareness education and the reconstruction of understanding of gender-based work to create an inclusive and equitable madrasah environment.
Salmayunicha Listie Putri, Rika Yunianingsih, Dwi Gustavina Syahbani, Maulidha Putri Cahyani, Josephine Oktavidhani Purnomo, Albar Kresna Lukito Nugroho, Amanda Aulia Wibowo, Suci Iriani Sinuraya Copyright (c) 2026 Salmayunicha Listie Putri, Rika Yunianingsih, Dwi Gustavina Syahbani, Maulidha Putri Cahyani, Josephine Oktavidhani Purnomo, Albar Kresna Lukito Nugroho, Amanda Aulia Wibowo, Suci Iriani Sinuraya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-21 2026-05-21 11 1 60 66 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.6069 ANTARA KESEMPATAN DAN KETERBATASAN: STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI KELUARGA DAN CAPAIAN PENDIDIKAN ANAK https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/5840
This study examines the relationship between family socioeconomic status and children's educational attainment in low-income communities. The research stems from the persistent educational inequality in Indonesia, largely influenced by family economic conditions. Using a qualitative case study design conducted in Sudimara Barat, Tangerang, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The results show that economic limitations affect access to education, learning facilities, and opportunities for higher study. However, social support from parents, teachers, and peers helps sustain students’ learning motivation and serves as a balancing factor amid financial constraints. The study reveals that educational inequality is shaped not only by economic factors but also by the lack of social and cultural capital within families. Theoretically, it contributes to the sociology of education by exploring the interaction between economic, social, and cultural capital. Practically, it recommends more inclusive and information-based educational policies to improve access and equity for low-income families.
Sifa Alfadila, Nadya Fatika, Eka Syifa Andrini, Yusran Rabbani Fandika, Syifa Almanda, Arif Saefudin Copyright (c) 2026 Sifa Alfadila, Nadya Fatika, Eka Syifa Andrini, Yusran Rabbani Fandika, Syifa Almanda, Arif Saefudin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-21 2026-05-21 11 1 67 74 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.5840 ANALISIS PERILAKU BELAJAR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF DI KOMUNITAS EDUKARYA https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/6499
This study aims to analyze the implementation of interactive learning strategies in fostering positive learning behaviors among students in the Edukarya Teaching Community, Kampung Penggilingan Baru, North Bekasi, as a non-formal educational community. The study employs a qualitative approach with a narrative design, utilizing participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentary analysis, which are inductively analyzed using a symbolic interactionism framework. The results indicate that the interactive approach successfully fosters positive learning behaviors, as evidenced by students’ active participation, willingness to present in front of the class, and in educational games. These behaviors were influenced by internal factors such as motivation, interest in learning, and self-confidence, as well as external factors including two-way communication between teachers and students, peer interaction, and a conducive classroom atmosphere. The use of digital media, educational game activities, and a reward system proved effective in providing students with a space to express themselves without fear. An analysis through the lens of symbolic interactionism reveals that the interaction between teachers and students plays a key role in shaping the meaning of learning. Students perceive the learning process not merely as a transfer of knowledge, but as an experience that liberates and opens up space for exploring one’s potential. This study concludes that interactive learning strategies can create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, while also offering practical implications for the development of learning models in non-formal education communities.
Bintang Ulina Siregar, Rizki Setiawan Copyright (c) 2026 Bintang Ulina Siregar, Rizki Setiawan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-12 2026-05-12 11 1 75 89 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.6499 TRADISI WALIMA SEBAGAI BASIS AKUNTABILITAS SPIRITUAL: INTERPRETASI NILAI-NILAI BUDAYA GORONTALO https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/6201
This study aims to examine the Walima tradition as a form of spiritual accountability practice grounded in Gorontalo local wisdom through the paradigm of spiritualism. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method of relevant scholarly publications from the period 2015–2024. Data analysis is conducted using thematic analysis to identify the core values embedded in the Walima tradition. The findings reveal that Walima embodies three main values: spiritual values, socio-cultural values, and spiritual accountability values. Spiritual values are reflected in practices of gratitude, almsgiving, sincerity, and devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which are manifested through voluntary community contributions. Socio-cultural values, particularly the concept of Huyula, emphasize the importance of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and trustworthiness as the foundation of social relations. Meanwhile, spiritual accountability in the Walima tradition is manifested through non-monetary, informal, and value-based forms of accountability, oriented toward vertical accountability to God and horizontal accountability to the community. This study concludes that the Walima tradition represents a form of spiritual accounting rooted in local wisdom that broadens the understanding of accountability beyond formal financial recording. These findings are expected to contribute theoretically to the development of spiritual accounting and culture-based accounting.
Fitri Nurhayati M, Niswatin, Tri Handayani Amaliah Copyright (c) 2026 Fitri Nurhayati M, Niswatin, Tri Handayani Amaliah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-05-31 2026-05-31 11 1 90 95 10.32696/jp2sh.v11i1.6201 KEBIJAKAN LITERASI DIGITAL DOSEN DALAM MEMBANGUN ETIKA KOMUNIKASI AKADEMIK DI PERGURUAN TINGGI https://jurnal-lp2m.umnaw.ac.id/index.php/JP2SH/article/view/6706
This study aims to examine the role of lecturers in developing students' digital literacy, developing media ethics, fostering a culture of healthy scientific discussion in the digital space, and increasing students' regulatory awareness of the responsible use of digital media.
