<p><em>Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana makna simbolik dalam rumah adat suku Kulawi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan makna simbol dalam rumah adat suku Kulawi di desa Bolapapu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang berusaha memberikan gambaran objektif berdasarkan kenyataan yang sesungguhnya di lapangan, mengenai makna simbol yang terkandung dalam rumah adat suku Kulawi, desa Bolapapu, Kecamatan Kulawi, Kabupaten Sigi. Tekhnik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi yaitu melakukan pengamatan terlebih dahulu dilokasi rumah adat suku Kulawi. Kemudian wawancara, Populasi wawancara didalam penelitian ini adalah ketua adat Bolapapu, sekretaris adat Bolapapu, dan tokoh masyarakat desa Bolapapu. Dan melakukan dokumentasi berupa foto dan rekaman suara serta diperkuat dengan tekhnik terakhir yaitu pencatatan. Tekhnik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi tiga proses yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan data bahwa rumah adat suku Kulawi menyimpan banyak benda didalamnya yang memiliki arti yang berbeda-beda. Diantaranya tanduk kerbau yang memiliki arti setiap masyarakat suku Kulawi jika menyelenggarakan hajatan diharuskan menyembelih kerbau. Kemudian tombak yang mengartikan keperkasaan dan keberanian para kaum adam suku Kulawi. Tombak sering digunakan masyarakat suku Kulawi didalam berburu binatang dihutan. Siga atau penutup kepala yang mengartikan kebangsawanan atau orang yang berkuasa. Pedang mengartikan kekebalan tubuh masyarakat suku Kulawi.</em></p>Mohamad Bahrul Ulum

<p>Drama hadir dimana-mana termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini membahas tentang transformasi drama dari panggung fisik ke digitalisasi visual dan pengaruhnya terhadap proses kreativitas siswa di era digital dan memahami spektakel sebagai unsur penting dalam drama. Dengan metode analisis konten terhadap media visual, aplikasi Simulasi Adegan Elektronik (SAE) dikenalkan dan dideskripsikan dalam memproduksi pertunjukan teater digital. Dalam produksi teater apapun, ide teknis dan naskah drama saling melengkapi dan dibutuhkan untuk menciptakan karya seni yang unik dan bermakna. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa teknologi dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami unsur-unsur dramatis khususnya unsur spektakel. <p><em>The island of Bali is an island rich in culture and art, one of which is Barong. Barong Dance has a charm as one of the supports for the existence of culture and tourism in Bali. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the philosophy of Barong Dance and its relationship with the development of language skills of junior high school students. The design of the case study research takes into account the uniqueness of the culture and philosophical meaning of the Barong Dance. Data was obtained through interviews with language teachers, dance coaches, cultural experts, and students, as well as direct observation of Barong Dance practices. The data was analyzed by identifying key themes such as collaboration, expression, and narrative, which are relevant for the development of students' language skills. The research subjects were selected by purposive sampling to obtain in-depth data. This research aims to uncover the philosophy of Barong Dance and its impact on speaking, listening, and argumentation skills, as well as provide recommendations for the integration of local cultural arts in the language education curriculum. The results of the study show that Barong Dance has significant relevance to students' language skills. As a non-verbal communication medium, this dance helps students develop speaking, listening, and argumentative skills. Learning Barong Dance also improves students' understanding of cultural values and moral philosophies that can be applied in daily life. In addition, this dance strengthens students' confidence in communicating. <p>This study explores the effectiveness of the <em>English for Naval Architecture</em> module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' English proficiency in the context of naval architecture. The need for a specialized English module in this field arises from the specific language requirements faced by students in technical disciplines such as naval architecture. The research aims to assess how PBL-based instruction impacts students’ language skills, particularly in their ability to understand and apply technical English in real-world naval engineering scenarios. A pre-experimental with one group pretest - posttest research design was utilized. The data were collected through test to seek for the module’s effectiveness meanwhile questionnaires were employed to gather students’ feedback. The study involved 17 naval architecture students who used the PBL-based module over a semester. The effectiveness of the module was evaluated using N-Gain analysis, which revealed a moderate improvement in students' English proficiency with a score of 0.46. Additionally, student feedback indicated positive responses regarding the module’s structure, relevance, and its influence on skill development, especially in problem-solving, technical English usage, and critical thinking. While the improvement in English proficiency was moderate, the PBL approach significantly enhanced students’ ability to apply language skills in professional and technical contexts. Students also appreciated the module’s alignment with their field of study, and its real-world problem-solving activities engaged their interest. In conclusion, the <em>English for Naval Architecture</em> PBL module is an effective tool for teaching English in technical fields, offering a valuable model for future curriculum development in similar disciplines.</p>Rindilla AntikaRisda Asfina

<p>Penelitian ini menganalisis wacana kritis video promosi Instagram objek wisata Pantai Karang Bolong di Kebumen menggunakan pendekatan Norman Fairclough. Media sosial, khususnya Instagram, memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk citra destinasi wisata melalui kombinasi visual dan narasi yang menarik. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana bahasa dan elemen visual dalam video memengaruhi persepsi audiens, serta mengungkap ideologi, hubungan kekuasaan, dan strategi komunikasi yang digunakan. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis wacana kritis diterapkan untuk menganalisis teks, praktik diskursif, dan konteks sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wacana video ini mencerminkan ideologi keberlanjutan, pelestarian budaya, dan pengembangan ekonomi lokal. Hubungan kekuasaan terlihat dalam produksi dan penyebaran narasi oleh pemerintah daerah untuk membangun citra positif destinasi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam kajian wacana kritis dan wawasan praktis bagi pengelola wisata untuk meningkatkan efektivitas promosi melalui media sosial.</p> <p> </p>Rosita SofyaningrumAjis Setiawan
