<p>This research constitutes a literature review study that employs books and other scholarly works as sources of data. The aim of this research is to propose the implementation of SWOT analysis as the foundation for formulating the vision, mission, and objectives of Islamic educational institutions. Based on the findings from previous literature, it is established that the formulation of vision and mission is vital to provide inspiration and motivation for an institution, particularly Islamic educational institutions in this context, to establish a common mindset and objectives for all school members in accordance with the teachings and guidance of Islam. Vision, mission, and objectives are not formulated instantly without a foundation. One of the factors that can underpin the quality of vision and mission is the analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of educational institutions. These four factors influence the success of an endeavor. In order to address internal (Strengths and Weaknesses) and external (Opportunities and Threats) conditions, an analysis is required to generate formulations that align with the demands of societal changes, which can then provide guidance to all members within the organization to work in accordance with the collectively established vision and mission. Internal conditions that play a role in the formulation of vision include the analysis of students, educational personnel, school physical facilities, curriculum analysis, educational materials, and the learning process. In external conditions, educational institutions face factors that also need to be examined to ensure that the vision and mission have a positive impact and can guide all members of the institution to achieve their goals, endure various conditions, and cope with all challenges. <p>Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai makna kekecewaan pada lirik lagu “Dumes” karya Andry Priyandra dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Dalam analisis semiotika Roland Barthes ini mengkaji mengenai makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos mengenai makna “Kekecewaan” yang terdapat pada lirik lagu tersebut. Metode yang digunakan ialah kualitatif interpretatif. Teknik pengumpulan yaitu studi dokumen dengan pemerolehan data dari berbagai sumber yang relevan dengan penelitian. Hasil kajian semiotika Roland Barthes pada lirik lagu “Dumes” karya Andry Priyandra adalah sebagai berikut. Makna denotasi dari lirik lagu “Dumes” adalah Lagu ini menceritakan tentang pengalaman seseorang yang merasakan kesepian dan kekecewaan dalam cinta yang tidak berbalas. Kemudian makna konotasi yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu ini yaitu mengkomunikasikan pesan tentang kerapuhan cinta dan hubungan manusia, menggambarkan bagaimana harapan dan realitas sering kali bertentangan, menghasilkan rasa sakit dan kekecewaan yang mendalam. Sedangkan mitos yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu ini yaitu menguatkan mitos-mitos budaya tentang cinta yang penuh dengan kekecewaan dan rasa sakit, mempromosikan pandangan bahwa penderitaan dalam cinta adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari pengalaman manusia dan bahwa hubungan romantis sering kali membawa lebih banyak kesedihan daripada kebahagiaan.</p>Sharina Amanda

<p><em>The Arabic translation process is one of the challenges for Arabic Language Education students. So in this era of increasingly sophisticated technology, the use of cell phones is no longer strange in helping students in learning, including in learning to translate Arabic into Indonesian or vice versa. This research aims to find out and analyze the intensity of Google Translate towards the Arabic translation process. This type of research is qualitative and the data collection technique uses a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire. The results of this research show that the intensity of use of Google Translate in the Arabic translation process is quite large. <p><em>The aim of the study was to figure out whether the use of dictogloss has a significant effect on the students’ listening comprehension on the second semester students of Polytechnic Unggul LP3M Medan (AKAP2A/2023). </em><em>The method of this study was classroom action research which had three cycles whereby there were two meetings for each cycle. Each cycle consisted of four steps: planning, implementing, observation and reflection. The field notes and test constituted the research data. The data were analyzed through assembling the data, coding, comparing, building interpretations, and reporting the outcomes. The research findings showed that Dictogloss could improve: (1) the students’ ability in listening comprehension; (2) the students’ vocabulary; (3) the students’ ability answering Short Conversation questions correctly</em></p>Cici Handayani

<p>The objectives of the study were to determine the process and the result of students’ increasing English speaking ability at Politeknik Unggul LP3M Medan. This study used qualitative and quantitative approaches through task-based learning. The research methodology used is an action-research developed by Cohen et al., 2018 with the spiral model by phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The population of the research was the 3<sup>rd</sup> semester students of Accountancy study program in academic year 2023/2024. There were 60 students of 2 classes involved in the study. Data collection techniques in this study conducted by observation, field note of the researcher/collaborator, and photos as documentation. Meanwhile, for quantitative data is gathered by test (the pre-test, the evaluation of group discussions cycle 1, cycle 2, and cycle 3, and the post-test). The results showed that there was a significant increase in the ability of students in speaking English after attending the subject of speaking II in semester III through task-based learning. Based on the test results of students English speaking ability of the three aspects assessed: accuracy, fluency, and pronunciation showed that the pre-test average student score = 17%, cycle 1 = 20%, cycle 2 = 67%, cycle 3 = 81% and post-test = 84%. Therefore, the study concluded that the students' speaking ability at Politeknik Unggul LP3M can be enhanced through task-based learning approach.</p>Hermansyah Hermansyah

<p>Information and communication technology, or ICT, has expanded quickly and has an influence on the entire world. Teachers may use technology to improve English language learning opportunities in a variety of situations. Using Quizizz, a media application with educational advantages, may facilitate online learning by encouraging students to learn innovatively and actively response to questions, which makes it simpler to carry out in class. The purpose of this study is to find out the students’ perception in using Quizizz as online learning media in second language classroom. This is a quantitative study conducted utilising questionnaires. This questionnaire was filled out by 20 students. The statements are questions would be like in the following: 1. Quizizz is interesting and fun in online class (English Linguistic class), 2. Quizizz has an attractive display in English Linguistic class, 3. Quizizz has many challenging features in English Linguistic class, 4. I enjoy doing the test using Quizizz, 5. Quizizz feels like a game, 6. Quizizz doesn’t make me tense in doing the test, 7. I can’t cheat during the test using Quizizz, 8. Quizizz creates a competitive atmosphere, 9. I feel encouraged to be number one on the leaderboard, and 10. Quizizz is better than the traditional test. The data for this study was collected by asking students to fill out a Google form with a statement and four Likert scale options, which were then analysed by calculating the percentage and number of student selections. The study's findings demonstrate the benefits of using Quizizz as an online learning tool, including: 1) student interest; 2) Tense for positive meaning; and 3) competition. <p>Education is the endeavour of a person to be a better person and to develop the self-potency that he possesses so that he can benefit himself and others. Education aims to help students to develop and enhance the potential that they possess themselves. Efforts to provide quality, effective and efficient IPA learning are continuing. Starting with the completion of teaching materials, the provision of teachers, up to the continuous updating of curricula – continuous improvements are made, then from that here the researchers carry out the action of creating Media and Teaching Materials by using Canva that produces products to create more innovation, creativity, and activity in the students of prospective SD teachers. Targeted outlets are producing web-based interactive media based on projects or issues, collaborating with partners outside the university on further research, and reputable publications. The research is aimed at studying the application of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) that uses Media Canva in the learning process for prospective teachers of Elementary Schools (SD) at the Faculty of Education and Education Sciences of Muhammadiyah University of Northern Sumatra (UMN) Alwashliyah. The application of this model is expected to enhance the practical skills of prospective teachers in integrating modern learning technologies and media into their teaching practices. The research method used is R n D method. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The participants in this study were students of future SD teachers who were involved in a project-based learning program that uses Canva as the main medium. In addition, the use of Canva as a learning medium enables students to produce interesting and interactive teaching materials, which is expected to increase the interest and motivation of students in the future. The study concludes that the application of the PjBL model based on Media Canva provides significant benefits for the development of pedagogical skills of future SD teachers, as well as making a positive contribution to innovation in educational practice at the Faculty of Education and Science of UMN Alwashliyah.</p>Lia Afriyanti Nasution

<p>This study aimed to look at a descriptive analysis of interest in practicing English in Class III elementary school students at SDS Amir Hamzah. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach, this approach was directed at background and individuals holistically. The Research was carried out using various learning methods such as the use of fun media. Qualitative research linked the concept of learning English to the cultural background and characteristics of students. The Practical implementation of this method included mastery of technology, pedagogy and knowledge of learning content. The data analysis technique used the technique proposed by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data was used trustworthiness through interviews. The results of this research shown that the implementation of English language training had been carried out well and smoothly in class III elementary school in Amir Hamzah. This could be seen from the development of learning in understanding the concepts of text material based on class III material which was running smoothly. This was increasing because the learning that took place apart from conveying theory also included practical exercises with related material that directly involved students' culture. A thematic integrated approach to learning was an approach that was integrated with students' culture and was linked to English texts so that students can understand what the teacher was saying and learning looked meaningful.</p> <p> </p> <p><em> </em></p> <p> </p>Dahlia Sirait

<p>This study is an experiment with pretest-posttest design through story telling method in learning English towards elementary school students. The subject of this research is the fifth grades students of SDN 106830. This study aims to find out what kinds of stories are suitable for elementary school students and how to implement and what obstacles and solutions need to be taken. This study is in the form of classroom action research with the results of classroom observations as a result during the action, interviews with teachers and students are also conducted to obtain accurate data to complete the data from classroom observations. The results of this study found that the story telling class students achieved better grade, students stated that with the storytelling method, they felt motivated to learn English, happy with class activities, the conducive of classroom atmosphere, and a fun learning process. Based on the problems that have been identified and formulated, the purpose of this study is to answer the questions contained in the problem formulation, namely to find out the story model that is suitable for elementary students, knowing how to implement a story-based learning model for elementary students and to identify problems and find the right solution for improvement.</p>Dewi Wulandari

<p><em>Abstract</em></p> <p><em>Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a term from Industrial Society 4.0 and Society 5.0. which is a "computer program, machine learning, hardware and software". Artificial Intelligence uses a science of hardware and software inspired by reverse engineering of the neocognitron patterns that work in the human brain. These Industry 4.0 products are widely used in development and daily applications in various fields, including education. The aim of this research is to clarify the role of AI in education, and the method used is a qualitative research method. In the world of education, artificial intelligence is used to personalize each student's learning. This AI system helps create a learning profile for each student, allowing learning materials to be tailored to each student's abilities, learning style and experience. <p>Matematika merupakan pelajaran penting di SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak, namun banyak siswa kelas X mengalami kesulitan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar matematika dan mengusulkan upaya perbaikannya. Penelitian mengidentifikasi beberapa faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar matematika, yaitu kurangnya pemahaman konsep dasar, kesulitan menyelesaikan soal, motivasi belajar rendah, metode pembelajaran kurang menarik, dan kurangnya dukungan guru dan orang tua. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, artikel ini mengusulkan beberapa upaya perbaikan untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika siswa, seperti meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dasar matematika, memberikan latihan soal berjenjang, meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, menggunakan metode pembelajaran menarik, dan meningkatkan dukungan dari guru dan orang tua.</p> <p> </p>Joko Susanto

<p>Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam berkomunikasi bahasa Inggris melalui pembelajaran kontekstual. Hal ini disebebakan karena dalam proses pembelajaran masih mengalami kesulitan terutama mengungkapkan hasil yang sudah diskusikan, berdasarkan hasil observasi diketahui hanya 21,5% yang memiliki berkomunikasi bahasa inggris, jadi bukan hanya menghapal vocabulary namun juga mampu berinteraksi melalui komunikasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah bahasa Inggris di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan di Univesitas Simalungun sebanyak 95 mahasiswa, maka sampel diambil secara <em>purposive sampling</em> dengan ketentuan mahasiwa memiliki kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris, maka sampel sebanyak 32 mahasiswa, teknik pengumpulan data adalah angket skala Likert dengan indikator diantaranya elaborasi, originalitas, interaksi dan fleksibiltas dan teknik analisa data menggunakan uji N-gain ternormalisasi. Hasil yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa tedapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam berkomunikasi bahasa Inggris melalui pembelajaran kontekstual sebesar 0,8 dengan kategori tinggi. <p>Keputusan dalam pengadaan persediaan bahan baku dapat berakibat pada jumlah barang jadi yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengendalian persediaan bahan baku menggunakan kebijakan UMKM D’Celup Chicken Crispy dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode studi Pustaka dan observasi secara langsung. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) memiliki hasil yang lebih optimal dan ekonomis dibandingkan dengan metode yang diterapkan oleh UMKM D’Celup Chicken Crispy. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan frekuensi pemesanan dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) yang lebih sedikit yaitu sebanyak 6 kali selisih selisih 81 kali dibandingkan metode yang digunakan UMKM D’Celup Chicken Crispy serta biaya persediaan yang lebih sedikit yaitu Rp.1.527674 selisih Rp.5.254.326 dibanding metode yang digunakan UMKM D’Celup Chicken Crispy.</p>Siti Sarah
