Abstract

This study aims to optimizing the activity and learning outcomes of physics students in class X IPA SMA Al Washliyah 3 Medan for the 2021/2022 academic year through the application of the Creative Problems Solving (CPS) learning model based on animation media on the subject matter of straight motion. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques to find out students' physics learning activities were carried out by means of a non-test, namely in the form of a questionnaire observing students' activeness, and to find out the results of students' physics learning was carried out by means of a test in the form of questions at the end of the meeting. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed an increase in the percentage of student learning activity in the first cycle by 34% and in the second cycle it increased to 86.8%. Increased learning achievement for the knowledge aspect in cycle I obtained mastery learning of 40% with an average student score of 71, while in cycle II it increased to 83.30% with an average student score of 81.17. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model based on animation media can increase students' physics learning activities and results in the subject matter of straight motion for class X IPA semester I SMA Al Washliyah 3 Medan for the 2021/2022 academic year.
